Implant For Alzheimer's

A new slow release implant for Alzheimer's disease is being studied at Glasgow Memory Clinic. The implant being investigated contains a new medicine ZT-1 that is being developed as a potential new treatment. The study runs for 6 months and is suitable for patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's currently receiving no treatment for Alzheimer's disease. There is no placebo arm to this study and therefore all study subjects will receive an active medication, either Aricept or ZT-1. This study has completed recruitment.
