Glasgow Memory Clinic has enjoyed a very positive presence at two recent and quite different events. The annual conference of the Scottish National Party held at the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness from the 20th-23rd October provided an opportunity to inform delegates of the important contributions to medical research the clinic has made and of its ongoing work and desire to create more jobs in research. The clinic has recently created several new positions and believes that further expansion with the creation additional of high quality research jobs is possible.

A more recent presence at the 50+ Show at the SECC Glasgow 11th-12th November gave the public the opportunity to engage with members of the research team. Dr Fraser Inglis, the Clinic Director also delivered a 40 minute lecture on each day of the show entitled 'The Early Detection of Alzheimer's Disease'. The lecture described What Alzheimer's Disease Is, How Alzheimer's Disease is Diagnosed, What Treatments are Currently Available, The contribution the Glasgow Memory Clinic has made to International research and current Alzheimer Vaccine programmes running at the clinic.

Clinic Development Manager Alison Cranmer said ' We thoroughly enjoyed the 50+ Show and had a very positive response to our stand and the lectures given by Dr Inglis'
